Montenegro doesn’t have toll roads! Which is great if you are travelling by own car or rented. However, they have online one tunnel with toll – it’s called Sozina. It connects the Capital city of Podgorica with south – Bar. It cost’s 2.5 EUR, which is super cheap comparing to toll in Croatia, Slovenia or Italy. For us, the fee was €20 to drop the vehicle off in a different location. Despite the regular cost, we did this anyway because our next stop...

After a lovely 3 days in Podgorica, I rented a car with my family to take a road trip through Montenegro.     Montenegro, the black mountain country, is made up of small-town and cities, like Budva, Tivat, Kotor, Cetinje, Zabljak, Kolasin. Because of its resorts and beaches, Montenegro is a super popular vacation hotspot for European and international vacationers.   The bus was not a possible option for us, since we have 5 members family. So, we rented a car to give ourselves more flexibility to stop in smaller towns and check out different parts of the beautiful black mountain country. How Much Does it Cost to Rent a Car in  Montenegro ?   We booked a car 3 months before the trip, via local online service Respecta Car. The daily cost of our car, a Hyundai i20, was very reasonable and affordable. However, the low upfront cost of the ...
